Are you ready to shift your business?
June 22, 2010By: Justin Neustadter
What’s happening to the telecommunications industry? End-users are demanding new services and tossing out the old ones every month, the industry is changing faster than ever now. How are you going to keep up?
New, more involved partnerships are developing between telecom companies and vendors so that they must provide innovative solutions that continue to expand the dimensions of their services. This change in methods has caused almost all telecommunication companies to transform, develop new business models, and focus more than ever before on understanding their end-users.
In an ongoing effort to understand the end-user, research has shown that consumers are most interested in visual messaging and single number interfaces. There is also major opportunity for innovation in social media, where over 50% of teens are unhappy with how it functions.
So what does this all mean for you? The ground is shifting, roles are changing, and in our second ‘Lets Talk’ live panel discussion on June 24 at 13:00(CET), we’re going to be looking at how telecommunication companies are overcoming these challenges and how exactly this affects you and your business.
What’s it worth to fuel your car with LTE?
May 10, 2010By: Justin Neustadter
Why is it we seem to have a never ending demand for new, faster, more innovative services? Mobile companies have moved through the different generations of wireless communications faster than your mobile contract runs out. Adding to 4G and all of the new technologies and services out there, we have the highly innovative LTE technology entering the mobile market.
Now, what is it that makes LTE stand out from the rest? WiFi connectivity? Augmented GPS? Video and audio streaming? Remote vehicle diagnostics? Or perhaps because it’s the first comprehensive mobile technology for your car. In our end-user research, all of these are features we found were desired.
The availability of these services and others is why the results of the research we conducted is so promising. Across Europe, more then 60% of Europeans find the idea of LTE connected cars appealing.
LTE isn’t just a far fetched idea, it has been down a long road and has proven itself in a trial by fire. Alcatel-Lucent’s more than 40 LTE trials around the world have been successful enough to help secure significant contracts. Now we know there is a drive for the technology, the next step is to decide which road to take. Find out here.
